Marize Fumero was born in Havana, Cuba and trained at the National Ballet School of Cuba. Upon graduation in 2009 she entered Ballet Nacional de Cuba where her many roles included the Pas de Trois from Swan Lake; Queen of the Wilis in Giselle; Swanilda in Coppélia, Queen of the Dryads and Kitri’s Friends in Don Quixote and Nikiya in La Bayadère. She also appeared in Paquita and Samsara. In 2012 Marize join English National Ballet. She appeared as Lead Snowflakes and Leading Flowers in Wayne Eagling’s Nutcracker, and Aurora’s Friends and Jewels variation in Kenneth MacMillan’s The Sleeping Beauty. She appeared in Derek Deane’s Swan Lake (Pas de Quatre) and also his Romeo & Juliet in-the-round staged at the Royal Albert Hall. She danced in Jiří Kylián’s Petite Mort, George Williamson’s Firebird and as one of the three Odalisque’s in Le Corsaire staged by Anna-Marie Holmes. Miss Fumero join Milwaukee Ballet Company in 2014, and in 2015 she was promoted to Principal Dancer, she perform many roles Gisselle, Cinderella, Dracula and Dorian Gray, Sugar Plum in Nutcracker and she was Claudia in Mirror Mirror, Michael’s Pink version. She also appeared as the Queen of Hearts in Septime Webre’s Alice in Wonderland and the title character in Kathryn Posin’s Scheherazade. She is a Principal Guest Artist with the Hispanic Classical Ballet in Miami, where she recently performed Corsaire, Giselle, Don Quixote and Romeo and Juliet ballets. Marize appear as guest artist with the Georgia Ballet as Swanilda in Coppelia and Sugar Plum in the Nutcracker,also numerous Festivals and Galas including Manon pas de deux, Romeo and Juliet, Kitri in Don Quijote and Carmen in the Festival of Miami. Miss Fumero was Nominated at the Miami Life Awards as best female classical Dancer in 2017. Marize recently appear as guest artist at Ravelo Festival in Italy, where she performed Tchaikovsky and Swan Lake,she is a recognise teacher also for the previous summer courses around the USA. Lately she was Musseta in La Bohéme , Black Swan in Swan lake and Lucy in Dracula by Michael Pink. She recently debut in the principal rol in Lamabrena by Val Carniparoli. She is being working for 5 years now with his husband remodeling houses in Milwaukee area.
